Mission Statement: The Pike County (Ohio) Humane Society, Inc. was formed to enforce the laws set in place to ensure the humane treatment of residential animals within Pike County. The Humane Society promotes spaying and neutering; provides animal welfare education; provides temporary food and doghouses to animals in need and acts as a positive support system for the residents of Pike County. We also provide nursing homes with pet visitation, provide private adoption assistance and emergency temporary boarding for pets in the event of personal disasters such as house fires. The Humane Society is totally run by volunteers and relies on donations from businesses and individuals to carry out its mission.
